What is the RISE Program?
RISE (Regional Innovation System & Education) is the Ministry of Education's regional innovation university support program. Cheju Halla University develops AI convergence talent through five specialized majors under the RISE program.
Through AI Contents, Big Data, Healthcare, System Control, and Aerospace majors, students gain practical AI skills while maintaining their existing major. Partnering with over 40 organizations including AWS, Pix4D, Hanwha Systems, Saltlux, Stanford d.school, and KAIST, the program delivers 15+ programs such as learncations, bootcamps, capstone design competitions, and overseas training.
Bachelor's students complete a minimum of 36 credits, associate's students 21 credits. Support includes the Innovation Talent Fund (up to 500,000 KRW per student) and overseas training opportunities in Japan and the United States.
