Program Overview
The RISE Capstone Design Competition is an annual showcase program organized by the RISE Core Talent Development Center at Cheju Halla University.
Department representative teams share their capstone design outcomes developed over the year, and industry experts evaluate the real-world applicability of each project.

Sharing capstone design outcomes and selecting outstanding teams

Presentation Format
- 5-min presentation + 5-min Q&A per team
- Presentation order determined by random draw on the day
Evaluation Panel
- 5 external experts
- Primarily industry and field practitioners
- Criteria: industrial applicability, feasibility, creativity, marketability
Exhibition
- Foam board display per team
- Prototypes, models, videos, etc. also permitted

FAQ
Q1. Can anyone participate?
No. Only representative teams that have passed their department's internal review may participate.
Q2. Are there restrictions on the exhibition format?
A standard foam board template is provided, but teams may also submit their own custom-designed files.
Q3. Can we participate without a prototype?
Yes. Implementation level is one evaluation factor, but planning quality, creativity, and real-world relevance are also assessed.
Q4. When is the presentation order decided?
It is determined by a random draw (ladder game) on the day of the event.
Q5. Is this linked to the next semester's capstone design?
Outstanding outcomes are used as case studies for the following semester and are reflected in educational improvements and industry-academia activities.
